Teja, who has been MIA since the release of Kajal Aggarwal's Sita in 2019, had planned to launch the sequel to his breakthrough film Chitram with 50 newcomers. The pandemic, however, has put a stop to the 55-year-old filmmaker's preparations, and his upcoming feature has been postponed. Teja is without a doubt one of Tollywood's most prominent filmmakers. He has launched more actors in Tollywood than any other director.
